No. Most Code Ninjas® owners come from business, healthcare, finance, real estate, and other professional backgrounds. Your Code Sensei® team handles curriculum delivery — you hire them, lead them, and run the business. You don’t need to know a line of code to own a Dojo.
Can I keep my career while I build my Code Ninjas® business?
Yes — and many owners do exactly that. You hire and closely lead a skilled Dojo manager who handles daily operations and leads the Code Sensei® team. You set direction, track performance, and grow the business as the owner. You stay actively engaged and closely involved — this is an owner-led model, not a passive investment.
How much does it cost to open a Dojo?

What does a typical Dojo look like?
A Code Ninjas® Dojo is typically 1,200–1,800 sq ft in a neighborhood or community retail strip center — visible, accessible, and welcoming. Dojo design standards, preferred vendor lists, and build-out specifications are all provided by Home Office. Most owners find sites in family-oriented retail areas near schools, parks, and grocery anchors.
How long from signing to opening day?
Most owners open their Dojos within 4–6 months of signing, depending on real estate availability, lease negotiation, and build-out timelines. Home Office provides site selection support and milestone tracking to keep you on schedule toward your target opening date.
What ongoing support will I receive after opening?
You’re assigned a dedicated Franchise Business Coach for ongoing check-ins and operational guidance. You’ll also have the full IMPACT curriculum platform, national marketing support, back-office technology, continuing education resources, and a community of 350+ fellow Code Ninjas® owners around the world.
Does Code Ninjas® offer multi-unit or territory rights?
Multi-unit and territory opportunities are available in select markets. Many of our top owners have grown from one Dojo to multiple locations over time. Dojo territories are typically defined as a 1.5–2.5 mile radius.
